Hi, I’m Monique Davis-Derobertis
In the late 1980s, while I was in the 9th Grade, I realized architecture and construction were my future. This belief has not wavered since.
In 2011, I combined my previous 15 years of experience in architecture and construction and became a Construction Manager. Here, I was able to focus on guiding affordable housing owners through projects during the housing crisis.
I love investigating every one of the conceivable outcomes, weighing the risks with multiple parameters to consider, constantly mastering new abilities, and becoming part of a shared environment.
My passion is to get targeted cost and quality results for my clients by removing barriers.
See the BluePrint Magazine’s “Women In Construction” article here to learn more about my journey to affordable housing.
About Artemis
In Greek mythology, Apollo was the God of War. He had a twin sister, Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt.
NASA’s mission to land a person on the Moon in the late 1960s was called the Apollo project. NASA’s second mission to the Moon is called Artemis and will land the first woman and first person of color on the Moon, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface.
My first affordable housing project was in 2011, and like Artemis, it consisted of an all-woman management crew, including a female superintendent, project manager, and project engineer. This project turned out excellent and was highly profitable.
The name Artemis guides my approach to hunting down and targeting results for my clients.
Artemis is also known for her respect for nature, and I spend my weekends and vacations respecting and enacting with nature, on the lake, in the mountains, or finding my family's next camping spot.
My Approach
My approach has always been to work with the members of each team I join to build a mutual vision for mitigating risks and achieving the project’s goals.
I bring my over 25 years of building science, architecture, and construction experience to bear on decisions of all sizes.
My cost analysis skills result from years of estimating and a love of keeping current with cost trends.
My quality management skills result from years of architectural detailing and product evaluation.
Dream it
I will help you translate the goals you wish to reach into an achievable vision.
Build it
I will work with the entire project team to deliver quality projects on time, on budget, and per quality standards. .
